The distribution of recent foraminifera in Timbalier Bay, Louisiana
Abstract
From the Abstract: “The species composition and distribution of 26 species of the living and dead Recent benthic foraminiferal faunas of Tibalier Bay, Louisiana, were determined…Of the [environmental] parameters studied, salinity and sediment type were the most important factors limiting the distributon of foraminiferal species within Timbalier Bay. Patterns of species distributon did not appear to be related to the location of oil and gas facilities.”
