Effects on long-term oil drilling and production on the zooplankton of Louisiana coastal waters

Marum, J. P.

Abstract

Conclusions: “The sum total of evidence from this study and the literature individuates that the zooplankton communities of the O.E.I study areas: 1) are similar to those of other northern Gulf of Mexico areas; and 2) have not changed over the past twenty years. In addition, there is no evidence of differences in zooplankton biomass or community structure between the waters occupied by oil platforms and control waters.”
