Bioaccumulation in Marine Organisms. Effect of Contaminants from Oil Well Produced Water

Abstract

This book covers the chemical composition (e.g., metals, radioisotopes, organic acids, and hydrocarbons) of the water associated with oil and gas production. In addition, there are substantial discussions of the possible detrimental effects to organisms of these chemicals. We note that many of the studies discussed do not specifically refer to water from oil and gas development.
