International rules on decommissioning of offshore installations: some observations
Abstract
From the Abstract: “This paper, which is concerned mainly with international law and practice on the decommissioning of offshore installations, examines the various global and regional instruments, which attempt to regulate decommissioning. In considering the way forward, particularly for Third World countries, it is concluded that there is a need for oil-producing countries to enact comprehensive national legislation on this subject.”
